PlayHaven Acqui-hires Staq.io

PlayHaven, a San Francisco, CA-based, venture-backed lifetime value (LTV) maximization platform for mobile games, acqui-hired Staq.io, a game management platform featuring real-time analytics.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

The Italian team behind Staq.io (Massimo Andreasi Bassi, CEO, Luca Martinetti, CTO and Francesco Simoneschi, COO, come from Rome, Italy, and have been living in San Francisco since 2011) built a technology that helps game developers capture critical player data providing them with real-time actionable insights and powerful testing capabilities.

The acquisition will enable PlayHaven to accelerate development of its data analysis capabilities that help game developers launch user engagement and monetization campaigns.

Led by Andy Yang, CEO, PlayHaven delivers a value maximization platform to help mobile game developers better acquire, understand, and intelligently engage and monetize users. According to a written note, its mobile developer and publisher platform spans thousands of games, 523 million unique monthly users, 133 million monthly active users, and more than 10 billion in-game events each month.
Customers include Cartoon Network, Digital Chocolate, Glu Mobile, Game Circus, Namco Bandai, NaturalMotion, Nickelodeon, Playtika, and SEGA.

The company raised funding in November 2012.
