Science Acquires PlayHaven

Science Inc., a media, marketing and brand building company, acquired PlayHaven, a mobile ad network for app developers to enhance user acquisition and monetization performance from advertising.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. Science acquired the company from Upsight, an enterprise analytics and marketing platform for mobile apps and, following the acquisition, it will merge Chirp Ads, its mobile marketing unit, into PlayHaven. The combined company will take the PlayHaven name.

PlayHaven is a mobile game ad networks, with more than 18,000 games, 245m monthly active users, and more than 5.7 billion monthly sessions. It counts Gaia Online, Phoenix Age (now Kabam) and Glu Games among its clients.
