Holaira Raises $10M in Series C Financing

Holaira Inc., (fka Innovative Pulmonary Solutions Inc.), a Minneapolis, MN-based developer of makes medical devices to treat obstructive lung diseases, raised $10m in Series C financing.

Backers included Advanced Technology Ventures, Morgenthaler Ventures, Split Rock Partners, and Versant Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds for the continued development of its minimally invasive products.

Founded in 2008 and led by Dennis Wahr, M.D., president and CEO, Holaira is working on a novel catheter-based system for a procedure called Targeted Lung Denervation, that has the potential to make breathing easier for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
