Yesware, a Cambridge, MA-based provider of an email service for salespeople, has secured $4m in Series A funding.
The round was led by IDG Ventures, with participation from seed investors Google Ventures, Foundry Group and Golden Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funding to expand its product team, deepen its integration with CRM systems, and broaden its platform reach.
Launched in September 2011 by CEO Matthew Bellows, Yesware provides email tracking & analytics, customizable sales templates, CRM integration and more to help salespeople communicate with customers more effectively. It is used by more than 40,000 salespeople in thousands of companies worldwide.
It is available for the Chrome and Firefox browser and integrated into Gmail. A paid version of Yesware, called Yesware Plus, as well as volume and enterprise licensing, are also available.
