Syzygy Biotech Receives Investment from the Michigan Pre-Seed Capital Fund
Syzygy Biotech, a Grand Rapids, MI-based protein factory, has received an investment from the Michigan Pre-Seed Capital Fund.
The company intends to use the funding to expand its commercialization efforts.
Led by CEO Barry Nowak, COO and CFO Sherri Amstutz, Chairman of the Board Blane Hansknecht, Senior Molecular Biologist Jennifer L. Jakubowski, Sales Director Stan Moyer, Brent Nowak, Ph.D., and Chris Eusebi, Syzygy is developing biotech products for DNA amplification used in research.
Managed by Ann Arbor SPARK, the Michigan Pre-Seed Capital Fund is an equity vehicle that invests in technology-based companies to support business formation and acceleration. It receives the same returns as the third party investor and redeploy them as first round capital to Michigan-based start-ups.
