SkySQL, Inc., the US subsidiary of SkySQL Ab, a provider of affordable database solutions for the MySQL® and MariaDB® databases in the enterprise and the cloud, has raised an additional $2.5m in Series A funding from California Technology Ventures, LLC (CTV).
In conjunction with the funding, Alex Suh, Founding Managing Director at CTV, will also join SkySQL’s Board of Directors.
The company also appointment Patrik Sallner as CEO, effective July 1, 2012. Current CEO Ulf Sandberg will now serve as President of SkySQL Inc., leading the operations in the Americas.
