Xeround, a Mountain View, CA-based cloud database company, has closed a $9m Series C financing.
The round was led by existing investors Benchmark Capital, Giza Venture Capital, Ignition Partners and Trilogy Partnership.
The company intends to use the funding to expand marketing and sales operations.
Led by CEO Razi Sharir, Xeround offers a database-as-a-service for MySQL-based applications. The product, specifically designed for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS providers, is available either as a Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) or as a virtual appliance.
The company has research and development in Yehud, Israel.
