Marxent Labs, a Detroit, MI-based mobile app developer, has received funding from Detroit Ventures Partners.
Co-founded by two brothers, CEO Beck Besecker, and CTO Berry Besecker, Marxent Labs has just launched ShopWith.It, a social shopper app that allows consumers to scan product barcodes or take photos, then share and discuss them with friends and people who share similar interests. ShopWith.It is already available for Android while an iPhone version of the app will be released in early 2012.
The company has already released the Moosejaw X-Ray app, an augmented reality experience designed to work with the Moosejaw Winter Catalog.
Marxent Labs also has offices in Tampa, Florida and Dayton, Ohio.
