Marxent Labs, a Detroit, MI-based startup that provides an Augmented Reality shopping platform, raised $800k in financing.
The round, which brings the total amount raised by the company to $1.8m (read here about the previous round), was led by Stage 1 Ventures.
Co-founded by two brothers, CEO Beck Besecker, and CTO Berry Besecker, Marxent Labs specializes in retail and marketing Augmented Reality and multi-platform mobile app development for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android. They build Custom Mobile Augmented Reality app experiences, which aims to engage and entertain customers by connecting print catalogs and e-commerce.
