CrowdCompass, a Portland, Oregon-based supplier of branded, native mobile apps for conferences and events, has closed $1.3m in Series A venture capital funding.
The round was led by the Oregon Angel Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate marketing and to complete development of its social-mobile technology for events.
Founded in 2009 CEO Tom Kingsley, CTO Dave Shanley, and CPO Brian Felder, CrowdCompass develops native mobile apps for the global conference, event and trade show market. Its solutions are designed to improve attendees’, exhibitors’ and event managers’ overall experiences and produce better-connected, more sustainable events.
