Loki Studios Raises Funding from DCM

Loki Studios, a San Francisco, CA-based developer of location and environment-aware smartphone games, has raised un undisclosed amount of funding from DCM.

The investment was made by the DCM A-Fund, which was established in April 2011 as a strategic investment initiative to solely focus on companies leveraging the Android ecosystem.

Co-founded by Ivan Lee (CEO), Juan Batiz-Benet (CTO), Rico Roque (Chief Creative Officer) and Brian Laub (Project Manager/Software Engineer), the company has already launched its first title, Geomon, a monster battle game.

Loki Studios, which plans to expand to Facebook, games, and console games in the future, is currently hiring (http://www.lokistudios.com/join/).
