HarQen, Inc., a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based enterprise communications company with a focus on collaborative voice services, has raised half of a $4m Series B round of funding.
Investors include Silicon Pastures, Women Angels, Wisconsin Investment Partners, and Capital Midwest.
The company intends to use the funding to expand its Wisconsin-based team, beginning with the addition of a chief intellectual property officer. According to CEO and co-founder E. Kelly Fitzsimmons, HarQen plans to hire dozens people.
Founded in 2007, HarQen provides an Intelligent Voice Service that enables meetings, interviews and other business conversations to be captured, enriched, organized, navigated, shared and analyzed. The company has five U.S. patent applications pending and plans to expand its IP portfolio internationally.
