Careerminds Group, Inc., a Hockessin, Delaware-based provider of web-based outplacement and career transition services, closed a $1.285m venture capital funding.
The round was led by Innovation Ventures, with participation from Gabriel Investments, Trestle Ventures, ARC Fund, among others.
The company intends to use the funds for sales and marketing development, technology, core-platform enhancements, and general working capital.
In conjunction with the funding, strategic investor Jack Gavin will serve as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Gavin is the former CEO and Vice Chairman of Drake, Beam, Morin (DBM), an international career management and transitions management firm.
Led by CEO Raymond Lee, Careerminds provides organizations that are downsizing or reorganizing with affordable online career transition services that leverage a Web 2.0 e-learning platform.
