Layar Closes €10M Series B Funding Round

Layar, an Amsterdam, Netherlands-based company that develops an Augmented Reality App, has closed a €10m Series B funding round.
Investors include Intel Capital and the company intends to use the new capital to further develop its platform.
Operating one of the largest augmented reality platform available on Android, iPhone and Bada devices, Layar works with thousands of developers creating layars for users to see the world with new information and meaningful digital content.
Today, over 1M active users, thousands of developers and over 1,500 layers operate on Layar to bring augmented reality experiences into people’s lives.
