Heroku Secures $10M in Funding

Heroku, a San Francisco, CA-based Ruby cloud application platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provider, has secured $10m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Ignition Partners, with participation from existing investors Redpoint Ventures, Baseline Ventures, and Harrison Metal Capital. 
The new capital will be used to accelerate Heroku’s rapid growth.
In conjunction with the funding, John Connors, General Partner with Ignition and former CFO/CIO of Microsoft Corporation, has joined the company’s board of directors.
Heroku was founded with seed money in 2007 from Y-Combinator fund.
