Centered Raises $3.9M in Funding

Centered, a San Francisco, CA-based productivity platform focused on enabling flow states, raised $3.9M in funding.

The round was led by Uncork Capital and Yes.vc, with participation from JLL Spark, Shrug Capital, Basement Fund, AVG Basement and Remote First, as well as angel investors Sriram Krishnan of A16Z, Lenny Rachitsky, Seth Harris, Aashay Moody, James Higa, James Beshara, Andrew Och, Louis Beryl, Hiten Shah and Sundeep Ahuja.   

The company intends to use the funds to hire across product and engineering to build new experiences and expand its business reach.

Led by Ulf Schwekendiek, Founder & CEO, Centered provides a platform for people to overcome obstacles standing in the way of productivity, fulfillment, and happiness. It offers flow music & automated productivity coaching, mono-tasking, do-not-disturb on Mac, notification blocking, distraction nudges and an task management dashboard.

It works as an operating system that is running at all times while they work, spending between 3 and 5 hours a day, keeping them on track and providing analytics and insights when they wrap so they can improve day over day.

  • Remote co-working for accountability  
  • Collaborative to-do lists that recognize achievements
