Spiritus, a Los Alamos, NM-based climate tech company providing solutions for scalable direct-air-capture (DAC) of carbon removal, entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aramco ands received an investment from Aramco Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Charles Cadieu. Spiritus is a climate tech company at the forefront of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, which offers a scalable and modular system for low-cost DAC and sequestration (DAC+S).
The investment is part of a MoU between the company and Aramco to further enhance Spiritus’ technology; potential piloting and scale deployment of its technology; and localization of its supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
