Parloa Raises $66M in Series B Funding

Parloa, a Berlin, Germany-based company which specializes in AI-powered automation for customer service, raised $66M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Altimeter Capital, with participation from new and existing investors EQT Ventures, Newion, Senovo, Mosaic Ventures and La Famiglia Growth.

The company intends to use the funds to further innovate its AI-powered platform and product line-up and advance expansion in new growth markets including the US.

Founded in 2018 by Malte Kosub and Stefan Oswald, Parloa provides an AI platform that empowers organizations across critical industries such as Insurance, e-commerce, utilities, and travel. The company enables these organizations to deliver personalized, dynamic and humanlike experiences to their customers – reducing endless wait times for their end customers while automating busywork for their employees.

The platform provides these key features:

  • Intent recognition and routing: Rapid recognition of why the customer is calling and automatically routing them to the right agents after having authenticated them, if needed
  • Smart FAQs: AI automatically takes care of frequently asked questions (FAQ) that agents get, without any wait time and around the clock
  • Self-service ordering AI manages end-to-end processes on its own for customers, including address changes, banking and order
  • AI automates customer conversations and improves business outcomes with personalized cross- and up-selling capabilities

Parloa was founded in 2018 by Malte Kosub and Stefan Ostwald and today employs about 250 people in Berlin, Munich, and New York.
