Lawhive Raises £9.5M in Seed Funding

Lawhive

Lawhive, a London, U.K.-based AI legal software startup, raised £9.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by GV, with participation from Episode 1 Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Led by Pierre Proner, CEO, Lawhive provides an online legal platform that combines a tech platform with a regulated law firm. First, its Legal Assessment Specialists will ask users questions about legal matter to create a personalised plan and fixed-fee quote. If users decide to go ahead and pay the fee, the company will connect them to an SRA-regulated lawyer in the network for their case within 48 hours. Lawhive will also give users access to a secure platform to communicate with the lawyer and share documents.

The lawyer will then handle the case as outlined in the quote. When everything’s resolved to the user’s satisfaction, they will close the case.
