HealthSage, an Amsterdam, the Netherlands-based company which specializes in healthcare delivery and patient pathways with generative AI, raised €3M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Peak, with co-investments from Healthy.Capital, Rubio Impact Ventures and serial health tech entrepreneurs Jaap Maljers and Jeroen Tas.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the team, commercialize its offerings, and accelerate customer deployments.
Co-founded by Harm-Jan Wessels and Marcel Alberti, HealthSage AI provides an open, secure, and regulatory-compliant platform to improve healthcare delivery and patient pathways by leveraging generative AI, and by collaborating with healthcare partners and innovators.
The HealthSage AI platform will offer a rich selection of AI models, tools, and applications, both crafted by the company and contributed by the broader community. In a secure environment, users can explore, try, and customize these models, before integrating them into their existing workflows and IT systems using our APIs.
The first release of its Large Language Model, Note-to-FHIR, transforms unstructured data into a structured FHIR output, enabling integration with existing healthcare information systems. For example, once transformed by Note-to-FHIR, the structured information can be used to automatically create a patient overview, offering healthcare professionals a concise summary of a patient’s health issues without the need to sift through unstructured notes. It can also simplify administrative duties, such as the creation of discharge letters. Additionally, Note-to-FHIR can support clinical decision-making, helping healthcare professionals to deliver the best care by automatically leveraging structured data. It also has the capability to transform complex clinical notes into language that is easily understandable for patients, making them better informed in their own care journeys.
