CleanFiber, a NYC-based materials science company, raised $28M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Spring Lane Capital, with participation from Climate Innovation Capital, AXA IM Alts, Tokyu Construction/Global Brain, Ahlström Invest and other family offices.

The company intends to use the funds to further enhance its growth trajectory and broad adoption of its solutions, scale production, and expand its product portfolio.

Led by CEO Jonathan Strimling, CleanFiber is a building materials company dedicated to creating insulation products which are environment friendly. Its patented technology transforms recycled cardboard into high-performance, fire-resistant building insulation. This eco-friendly choice has already been adopted by numerous installers across the Northeast, and the company estimates the product has already been installed in over 20,000 homes.
