Arkis

Arkis, a London, UK-based DeFi prime broker, raised $2.25M in Pre-Seed funding.

The round was led by gumi Cryptos Capital, with participation from G1 Ventures, Blocklabs, and Roosh Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts.

Founded in 2022 by Ukrainan Serhii Tyshchenko and Oleksandr Proskurin, Arkis is a DeFi Prime Broker that offers on chain risk management that enables capital providers to safely provide undercollateralized loans to DeFi hedge funds. It empowers users to leverage their on-chain trading positions across multiple protocols and blockchains, all within a singular on-chain margin account empowered by a margin engine. This system offers advancements in asset valuations, categorizing by type including LP Positions, lending positions, and ERC-20s. Furthermore, with features like cross-margining and a liquidation planning and execution process, Arkis ensures capital efficiency for borrowers while maintaining safety measures for lenders.

The company also announced a strategic partnership with Edge Capital and integration with 1inch for enhanced liquidity aggregation. After conducting its first transactions with DeFi funds during private beta in October, Arkis publicly launched in February.
