WIVI Vision

WIVI Vision, a Madrid, Spain-based company offering solutions to improve visual efficiency and treat visual dysfunctions in diagnosis and subsequent recovery, raised €4M in funding.

The round was led by Adara Ventures, with participation from Hearstlab, Avançsa, Caixabank DayOne, BBVA Spark, Banco Santander, as well as current partners such as Peak Thomas (Pedro Tortosa), VC Go GMBH, among others.

The company intends to use the funds to boost its domestic and international growth, as well as accelerate the expansion of the team and support the development of new technologies.

Founded in 2016 by Eva García Ramos and Juan Carlos Ondategui-Parra, Wivi aims to provide visual therapy methods through proprietary big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which can assess whether someone has visual dysfunctions and apply personalized training programs based on a 3D game to improve their vision. The solution has been approved by the Spanish Ministry of Health as a medical class.

WIVI, registered under the company name e-Health Technical Solutions, has offices in Barcelona, Bilbao, and Berlin.

Commenting on the news, Eva García Ramos said: “This new funding represents the confidence in our business model and support of investors, which will allow us to continue advancing in our ambitious growth plan in both the domestic and international markets. In recent years, we have proven that we can improve children’s and adults’ visual health and quality of life with adapted and affordable technology, offering clinical assistance that specialists and users increasingly value. We want to be the reference in visual health in assessment and visual training at a reasonable price and improve all people’s vision and quality of life.”
