Tufin, a Boston, MA-based company which specializes in network and cloud security policy automation, acquired AKIPS, a Brisbane, Australia-based provider of network monitoring solutions for enterprises.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will support Tufin’s mission to empower network teams with end-to-end visibility, actionable insights, continuous compliance, and automation, accelerating the secure deployment of business applications that drive growth and directly impact revenue.
Led by CEO Mark Birkinshaw, AKIPS develops a scalable network and infrastructure monitoring software, delivered as a software appliance. Its network monitoring software provides features, scale and visibility of critical real-time and historical performance metrics and logs – from the core of the data center all the way to the end user. The company allows network engineers to detect, analyze and rectify issues and faults before user complaints, and to reduce business impact and disruption.
Led by CEO Ray Brancato, Tufin provides a single platform for network and cloud security teams to simplify the management of security policies across today’s complex, multi-vendor hybrid networks. It gives to companies the end-to-end visibility and automation tools necessary to provide new access, enable application deployment, and ensure continuous compliance and audit readiness.
