Black Mountain Software, a Molson, MT-based provider of accounting and billing software for local government organizations, announced the acquisition of Cascade Software Systems, a provider of integrated cost and project accounting solutions.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
This strategic acquisition is poised to bolster Black Mountain’s comprehensive suite of solutions, further solidifying its position as a premier partner to municipalities, counties, special districts, and schools across the United States.
Cascade Software Systems provides specialized cost accounting solutions tailored to the needs of government agencies. Its flagship product, WinCAMS, integrates various cost accounting modules, including time tracking, payables, equipment usage, work orders, and inventory management, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency for its clients. Ayren Spinner, Chief Operating Officer of Cascade Software Systems, will join Black Mountain Software as President of Cascade.
Black Mountain offers government accounting and billing software used by more than 650 local entities spanning 24 states. The company partnered with private equity firm Peterson Partners in 2022 to help accelerate product expansion and innovation.
