b.well Connected Health, a Baltimore, MD-based company empowering platform-enabled healthcare ecosystems, raised $40M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Leavitt Equity Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Hon Pak, MD, Head of Digital Health at Samsung, joined b.well’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Kristen Valdes, CEO and Founder, b.well Connected Health provides a scalable, FHIR-based platform that unifies all healthcare data, solutions, and services in one place — empowering healthcare organizations to offer experiences where consumers can create longitudinal health records, receive proactive health insights, and conveniently shop and access care for themselves.

Healthcare organizations use b.well’s platform to put consumers at the heart of every interaction, derive more value from their technology investments, and surface their services as part of a growing number of digital healthcare ecosystems.

Last quarter, b.well launched its integration with Samsung, which aims to give Galaxy smartphone users control over their longitudinal health records, as well as proactive, personalized health insights, and access to care from a growing network of providers, including Walgreens, Northwell Health, Lee Health, ThedaCare and more.
