Officine Maccaferri S.p.A., a Bologna, Italy-based global leader in providing solutions for the civil engineering, geotechnical, and environmental construction market, received a strategic investment from Ambienta.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Ambienta acquired the Group from current shareholders Carlyle Global Credit, Stellex Capital Management and Man GLG.
The company intends to use the funds to further enhance its impact, vision and position.
Founded in 1879, Officine Maccaferri manufactures, designs, supplies and constructs systems for the global construction industry. Solutions offered include retaining structures, slope stabilisation, erosion protection, rockfall mitigation, highway reinforcement, and coastal protection. It has 30 factories across 5 continents and on-the-ground operations in over 100 countries.
