UniFAHS Raises USD 1.4M in Seed Funding

UniFAHS, a Bangkok, Thailand-based biotechnology company specialising in phage technology for sustainable agriculture and food safety, raised USD 1.4M in Seed funding.

The round was led by A2D Ventures with participation from Asian Development Bank Ventures (ADB Ventures) and InnoSpace.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth and its food production using environmentally friendly and sustainable approaches.

Co-founded by Dr Kitiya Vongkamjan and Chalita Wongpukdee, UniFAHS specializes in applying phage technology, ensuring the sustainable production of safe foods from farm to fork, promoting the holistic concept of “One Health”, and combating the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance. It is dedicated to work through phage technology to enhance communities and ecosystems with its approach.

To date, UniFAHS has secured partnerships with poultry producers in the region.
