Chunk Foods, a NYC-based plant-based space company, raised additional $7.5M in Seed funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $24M, was led by Cheyenne Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to solidify its position as a player in plant-based whole cuts.
Led by Amos Golan, Founder and CEO, Chunk™ develops, manufactures and markets plant-based whole cuts using a handful of ingredients, crafted using the cooking tradition of fermented foods. Its products are minimally processed and have clean ingredients – free from thickeners, binders, and additives. Packed with 25 grams of protein, no cholesterol or GMOs, Chunk replaces beef in recipes.
The company has entered into an investment and collaboration agreement with Better Balance to develop a new range of plant-based whole cut meats. The co-branded Chunk products are available for foodservice in Mexico.
