Chipmetrics, a Joensuu, Finland-based atomic layer deposition (ALD) technology company, raised €2.4M in Seed funding.
The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and OCCIDENT. Other investors included Innovestor, REDSTONE and BALD Engineering.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance its product portfolio, refine its measurement solutions, and reinforce its global sales network.
Led by Mikko Utriainen, Founder and CEO, Chipmetrics develops and delivers metrology solutions for manufacturing processes for the semiconductor industry. Its business is based on the sale of innovative metrology chips and measurement services whose applications are focused on ALD technology. The company’s main product is the PillarHall® metrology chip for thin film process conformality measurement.
Chipmetrics was founded in 2019 and its head office is in Joensuu, Finland. In addition, the company has employees and sales partners in Japan, South Korea, the USA, and Germany.
