Urban Sports Club, a Berlin, Germany-based platform for sports and wellness, raised €95m in funding.
The round was led by Verdane, with participation from existing investors such as HV Capital and ProSiebenSat1.
Led by Moritz Kreppel, CEO, Urban Sports Club is a platform for sports and wellness dedicated to inspiring people to live healthy and active lives through a large and diverse offering including fitness, yoga, swimming and climbing, team sports and wellness. Members can design a unique training plan from over 50 sports across Europe and check in for sports via smartphone app.
The company plans to use the funds to invest into further acceleration of its B2B business in seven European markets: Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and soon also Austria, to enhance the platform and member experience, as well as to further grow the partner network, which already includes more than 11,000 venues covering over 50 types of sports and wellness activities.
