Hypetoon, a Seoul, South Korea-based provider of a webtoon platform, received an investment from Ozaru Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intend sto use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Hypetoon provides a webtoon platform that connects creators and fans through blockchain techonology and DAO governance to shape the future of storytelling. Its webtoon service will bring access to webtoon content to the under-served regions in the world starting in Indonesia and then to expand to other regions in Southeast Asia and Africa.
