Health Catalyst (Nasdaq: HCAT), a Salt Lake City, UT-based provider of data and analytics technology and services to healthcare organizations, acquired Electronic Registry Systems (ERS), a Cincinnati, OH-based company which specializes in cancer registry software and services.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition will enhance Health Catalyst’s comprehensive data abstraction and registry management capabilities and its Tech-Enabled Managed Services (TEMS) offering within the chart abstraction domain.

Led by CEO Rohit Nayak, Electronic Registry Systems provides cancer registry compliance and informatics services to enable customers to achieve their cancer center clinical and business objectives with a goal of improving cancer care for every patient. Its flagship platform solution, CRStar, is specifically designed for Certified Tumor Registrars, and records and reports vital cancer patient information to oncology registries.
