Care Receives Investment From NHL Player Kevin Fiala

Care, a Zurich, Switzerland-based health tech startup, received an investment from NHL player Kevin Fiala.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Fiala’s investement folllowed the one of professional soccer player Yann Sommer.

The company intends to use the funds to support its expansion’ plans in the U.S. marker.

Founded in Switzerland at the end of 2022 by entrepreneurs Ertan Wittwer (Bestsmile, Hair & Skin) and Ion Haab, Care offers services in the field of evidence-based preventive medicine. It carries out detailed check-ups and enables customers to track the data collected via the its App in an intuitive way and use it to optimize their own health.

The startup currently has around 50 employees in Switzerlandand the U.S., including medical specialists and health scientists specializing in prevention. At the beginning of 2023, Care opened its first store in Zurich and after six months was able to generate an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of one million Dollars. After a start in Switzerland, the company is now preparing to expand to the U.S. The first U.S. store is scheduled to open in Miami in January 2024. To support the implementation of its plans, Care recently announced the appointment of former Technogym U.S. managing director Kay Oswald as CEO.
