Almond Fintech, a Boston, MA-based B2B technology company, raised $7M in funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to broaden its network in Asia, the Americas, and Africa.

Led by CEO Adam Swartzbaugh, and CTO Yunus Sevimli, Almond FinTech is a B2B technology company making financial services affordable and accessible to people around the world, regardless of income. Through its blockchain cross-border transfer protocol, it removes financial barriers and deliver transfer and credit scoring tools that empower everyone, everywhere.

Almond’s proprietary Settlement Optimization Engine (SOE) tracks hundreds of digital currencies and blockchains to identify optimal routing for international transfers, ensuring the lowest possible cost combined with the highest availability. The technology innovates how money moves by achieving near-instant settlements, protecting against forex risk, and minimizing international float requirements.

The company also recently achieved SOC2 Type 1 Compliance, or SSAE 18, adhering to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards for service organization control.
