Africa Healthcare Network Raises $20M in Funding

Africa Healthcare Network, a Nairobi, Kenya-based provider of dialysis services in Africa, raised $20M in funding.

The round was led by Africa50 and AfricInvest, and Ohara Pharmaceutical Co.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth and address gaps in the availability of affordable renal care across Africa.

Led by Matt Williams, CEO, AHN is a dialysis services provider in Africa, dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare for patients with kidney disease. It operates a network of dialysis centers across the continent, offering treatment, facilities, and an approach to patient care.

As part of the transaction, AHN received support on completion deliverables related to the transaction from CrossBoundary, an advisory group focused on unlocking private capital in underserved markets.
