Shield Capital, a San Francisco, CA-based venture capital firm, closed its inaugural fund, Shield Capital Fund I, L.P. , at $186M.
Capital commitments came from a broad representation of institutional and private investors.
Launched by Managing Partners Philip Bilden and Raj Shah in 2021, Shield Capital invests in early-stage companies building technology in artificial intelligence, autonomy, cybersecurity, and space, addressing challenges and opportunities at the nexus of commercial industry and national security.
The firm has invested in over 30 companies including Albedo, Apex, Elroy Air, Nexla, Overwatch Imaging, and Resilience.
