Scription, an Edmonton, Canada-based commercial maintenance startup, raised $2.5M in funding.
The round was led by Markd. Greenlight Re has also partnered with and was an investor in Scription, along with funds such as Connetic Ventures, Sidedoor Ventures, Ank Partners, Hustle Fund, and Startup TNT.
The company intends to use the funds to launch and onboard anchor customer brands.
Led by Justin Villiers, CEO, Scription is an Insurtech company that leverages technology and domain expertise to help companies launch new aftermarket service programs. The platform uses historical maintenance data to intelligently price and offer insurance for maintenance contracts unique to individual pieces of equipment. Scription’ program provides service companies with recurring aftermarket revenue and repairs exclusivity while the equipment owners get consistent costs, and experience fewer equipment breakdowns.
