Neura Robotics, a Metzingen, Germany-based AI and robotics startup, raised $16M in funding.

InterAlpen Partners made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth and expansion into the U.S. market.

Led by Founder and CEO David Reger, and co-founders Dr. Milad Malekzadeh, Mavarick Ho, Dr. Sugeeth Gopinathan and Suneeth Gopinathan, Neura builds robots that are able to see, hear and perceive touch, combined with reflexive sensory processing. Its cognitive cobot, named MAiRA, is autonomous and can fully perceive its environment and humans it comes into contact with. These kinds of advances provide NEURA and their partners with applications for multiple sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality and elder care.
