Luzia Closes $10M Series A Funding

Luzia, a Madrid, Spain-based AI assistant designed to simplify tasks, boost productivity and provide inspiration to users, closed a $10M Series A financing.

The round was led by Khosla Ventures. Additional investors include Pau Gasol through Gasol16 Ventures, A* Capital, Abstract Ventures, FJ Labs, Globo Ventures and others.

The company intends to use the funds to continue recruiting talent, expansion into new markets, advancing technological features, and optimizing the user experience.

Founded in 2023 and led by Álvaro Martínez Higes, Javier Andrés, and Carlos Pérez, Luzia is an AI assistant designed to simplify tasks, boost productivity, and provide inspiration to users worldwide. Luzia understands and responds to simple voice or text commands. The free platform is available through WhatsApp and Telegram contacts to almost 17 million users. Responses provide answers, transcribe audio, translate multiple languages and generate real-time images, all while prioritizing privacy and security.

Luzia has processed over 900 million messages leveraging APIs from various companies, including OpenAI, Llama and Kandinsky, among others.
