Anonybit Raises Additional $3M in Seed Extension Funding

Anonybit

Anonybit, a NYC-based innovator in decentralized biometric authentication and data protection, secured an additional $3m funding.

The round was led by JAM FINTOP with participation from Connecticut Innovations and 4S Bay Partners, the family office of Jessica Sarowitz and Steve Sarowitz, increasing its total funds raised to $8m.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its mission to provide privacy-by-design identity management solutions to enterprises that are looking for new ways to authenticate users in order to avoid account takeover attacks and data breaches.

Led by Frances Zelazny, Co-Founder & CEO, and Yaron Azizi, Co-Founder & Chief Architect, Anonybit provides a patent-pending technology platform that enables the distributed storage and processing of biometrics and other personal data. The company’s flagship product, the Anonybit Genie, unifies the identity lifecycle, connecting digital onboarding to authentication and account recovery through the use of decentralized biometrics along the user journey. This approach can prevent synthetic identity fraud and account takeovers, supporting a wide range of enterprise use cases.

Alongside the funding, Limor Elbaz joined the team as Chief Revenue Officer while Al Pascual joined as a new member of the Advisory Board.
