UnitX, a San Jose, CA-based robotics company building AI vision systems for the manufacturing industry, raised $5M in funding.

Backers included SE Ventures, and Schneider Electric.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its geographic reach and elevate quality, traceability, and profitability of its manufacturing operations.

Led by CEO Keven Wang, UnitX is a robotics company advancing AI vision systems that automate visual defect detection. Deployed across key manufacturing verticals, including lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles, and automotive, it enhances yields and reduces scrap. Using its software-defined vision system (“OptiX”) and its edge AI compute platform, the company delivers inspection and defect detection capabilities to manufacturing customers. By partnering with UnitX, customers can reduce scrap, improve yield, and maintain the highest quality standards.
