Mission Control, an Ottawa, Canada-based startup that develops software for Earth, Moon and Mars, raised $3.5M in Initial Seed funding.

The round, which has now raised over $10.5M in equity and non-dilutive funding, was led by GreenSky Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to advance its Spacefarer platform.

Led by Founder and CEO Ewan Reid, and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Michele Faragalli, Mission Control provides the Spacefarer platform, which allows customers to simplify mission development, operations and scientific and commercial opportunities on the Earth, Moon, Mars, and beyond. It is used by mission controllers, scientists, and software developers who seek faster deployments, lower-cost mission development, and valuable data returns.

The company has previously worked on Canadian Space Agency, European Space Agency, Department of National Defence and NASA programs and graduated from the University of Toronto Creative Destruction Lab’s inaugural Space Stream.
