AskUI, a Karlsruhe, Germany-based UI automation company, raised €4.3M in funding.

The round was led by Eurazeo, with participation from existing investors 468 Capital, LEA Partners, APX, and Seedcamp, as well as existing angels Carsten Thoma and Christian Stiebner.

The company intends to use the funds to

  • Advance product development, expanding thier capacity to help users automate their workflows;
  • Release its first prompt-to-automation model;
  • Expand its market globally and grow the team.

Founded in 2021 by Jonas Menesklou and Dominik Klotz, AskUI provides developers with a solution that brings them vision to code for UI automation of any use case on any operating system. It works with instructions in an easily readable fluent API. This is made possible by using its AI James, which performs element addressing completely independent of underlying selectors.

The API enables the creation of test cases in just a few steps. It guides the user through the test steps by suggesting actions to be performed. In addition, relations between different UI elements can be defined. This way, errors can be detected that remain hidden with classic selector-based approaches.
