Zanifu, a Nairobi, Kenya-based provider of a financial services platform, received an investment from Beyond Capital Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and create a sustainable growth and positive social impact in East Africa.
Founded in 2017 by CEO Steve Biko and CTO Sebastian Kilimo, Zanifu provides a platform for procuring inventory from suppliers and buy-now-pay-later to create new opportunities for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania that struggle to access financing due to limited collateral, their size, and the absence of formal credit history.
