Yazen Raises €3.1M in Funding

Founders of Yazen: Fredrik Meurling, CEO, Otto Bretz, CTO, Magnus Nyhlén, MD and entrepreneur, and Martin Carlsson, Associate Professor, MD and specialist in endocrinology. 

Yazen, a Lund, Sweden-based a digital weight-loss clinic company, raised €3.1M in funding.

The round was led by Luminar Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Fredrik Meurling, CEO, Otto Bretz, CTO, Magnus Nyhlén, MD and entrepreneur, and Martin Carlsson, Associate Professor, MD, Yazen is a digital caregiver focused on treating obesity using a combination of medical treatment and lifestyle changes. Its clinically proven treatment method combines lifestyle changes and the latest developments in weight loss medication, GLP-1 inhibitors. Through its digital platform, patients gain access to a team of specialists including doctors, psychologists, dieticians and personal trainers.

Today, Yazen has operations in Sweden, where it has 45 employees, and has just launched in Norway and Spain.
