Carla, a Swedish electric vehicle e-commerce platform, raised €10m in funding.
The round was led by VNV Global with participation from Inbox Capital, Luminar Ventures, Max Ventures, Voi Technologies’ co-founder Fredrik Hjelm, and the founders of Swedish fintech company Anyfin.
The company intends to use the funds to:
- further bolster the recruitment of key competencies across development and marketing, building infrastructure, and
- support its growth journey, including its international expansion.
Led by Patrik Illerstig, CEO, Patrik Illerstig, formerly Head of Global Online Business at Volvo Cars, and Niklas Jungegård, a serial tech entrepreneur, Carla enables customers to sell, lease or buy an electric car, with delivery available within as little as 72 hours. The service ensures car condition through rigorous testing. All customers receive a 12-month guarantee, financing , a 14-day right of withdrawal, and free returns where Carla picks up the car.
In Sweden, the company has sold more than 150 cars since its inception.
