TYLin Acquires Architectural Engineers Collaborative

TYLin, a San Francisco, CA-based infrastructure consulting firm, acquired Architectural Engineers Collaborative (AEC), a structural engineering firm based in Austin, TX.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With the acquisition, TYLin will expand capabilities for clients in Southern Region. As part of TYLin Group, AEC will be within the combined organizationā€™s Buildings Sector in the Americas. AEC Founding Principal Charles Naeve, PE, and his team will report directly toĀ Nat Oppenheimer, PE, LEED AP, Leader of the TYLin Group Buildings Sector andĀ Silman, a TYLin Company. AEC will maintain its current project types and operation, doing business as Architectural Engineers Collaborative, a TYLin Company.

Architectural Engineers Collaborative (AEC) was established in 1998 by experienced structural engineers with a mission to practice architectural engineering. Specialties include Architectural Structures, Engineering Innovation, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Sustainability/Green Buildings/LEED. AECĀ projects include a wide range of building structures for commercial, hospitality, government, education, and technology clients. The firm also provides structural engineering for transportation facilities, with a portfolio that includes airport terminals, transit stations, and pedestrian bridges.

The firm has 35 employees operating in offices in Austin and San Antonio.
