Mosea Technologies, a Toronto, Canada-based payment startup, raised $2.5M in Seed funding.
The backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its expansion and enable the introduction of its social payments app to new users across Canada.
Led by CEO Luke de Haas, Colin Lee, and Aidan Tighe, Mosea is a payments app that allows users to send instant money transfers to friends while offering bill splitting features for large groups, and the chance to create campaigns to sell tickets to an event. The platform is used by Canadian university campuses, school clubs, groups, and organizations.
