Jellatech Raises $3.5M in Seed Funding

Jellatech, a Raleigh, NC-based biotechnology company developing a platform to produce complex proteins, raised $3.5M in Seed funding.

The round was led by byFounders, with participation from Milano Investment Partners, Joyful VC, Siddhi Capital, Blustein and more.

The company intends to use the funds to advance its research and development efforts, scale up its cellular agriculture processes, expand its team of scientists and engineers, and accelerate the commercialization of its innovative proteins.

Led by Stephanie Michelsen, Founder and CEO, Jellatech is a biotechnology company developing a sustainable, and scalable platform to produce complex proteins. By using cellular agriculture, it is able to create bio-identical proteins to supply various industries such as food & bev, materials, biomedicine, personal care and more, without relying on destructive animal agriculture.

Furthermore, Jellatech will establish key strategic partnerships to maximize its global reach and impact.
